Nelson has a wide-range of litigation experience in the state and federal courts of South Carolina. Prior to starting his own practice, Nelson was a partner in the Charleston office of large regional law firm. For over fifteen years, Nelson has focused on the defense of complex civil claims, representing both individuals and businesses through all stages of the litigation process. Nelson’s areas of practice include professional negligence defense, commercial and governmental litigation, products liability, insurance defense, and insurance coverage. Nelson has briefed and argued cases before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the South Carolina Supreme Court, resulting in published opinions in favor of his clients. Nelson also serves as a Circuit Court mediator, assisting parties in resolving their claims outside of court.
Nelson lives in Mount Pleasant, with his wife and two sons. When he is not in Charleston, Nelson spends his time on the farm in Williamsburg County.
